Lauli Moschini, Art Psychotherapist

My work as a special needs art teacher gave me valuable insight into the power of art as a means of communication for children who find it difficult to articulate their thoughts and feelings.  Since re-training as an Art Psychotherapist I have worked mainly with young people and their families - in child and adolescent mental health services, education and private practice.  Through the mediums of art, play, and words, my clients gain insight into their unconscious processes, communicate at a profound level and experience acceptance. I consider it a great privilege to be involved in the developing lives of young people, facilitating them to develop resources to cope, find resolution and heal. It is equally important to enable those close to them to support the process and gain from it.  Art is central to my world and I have a deep-seated belief in its transformative potential.
